Congratulations are in order for Mohamed (Moe) Elghawy, who was officially named part of Drexel University’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2024! This program highlights determined and passionate professionals that can master skills in settings as diverse as research laboratories, corporate offices, classrooms, hospitals, community clinics, professional kitchens and government agencies.
Moe is an ’09 Drexel grad with a BS in Civil Engineering. While there, he completed his first two co-ops with TPD in the Transportation Planning, Access Design, and Construction Services groups. He is now a Senior Construction Manager here at TPD, overseeing a team of 15. Moe has consistently exemplified excellence, innovation, and leadership, making invaluable contributions to TPD and the industry.
A true mentor and trailblazer in his field. His dedication to sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and offering support has inspired countless individuals to reach their full potential. Through mentorship, Moe has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of construction professionals, instilling in them the values of integrity, diligence, and collaboration.
When asked where he hopes to be in 5 years, Moe responded “My hope is to be in a position to positively effect change in the civil engineering community and in our industry, continuing to mentor young inspectors to excel in their careers and take the next step in becoming transportation construction managers.”
