TPD recently welcomed nearly 40 students from Bucks County Technical High School to its Conference Center for an in-person Shadow Day, providing a firsthand introduction to careers in civil engineering and the transportation industry.

The event offered students an opportunity to learn about the diverse disciplines that contribute to the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects. Team members from multiple departments shared insights into their roles through a series of interactive presentations, highlighting the technical expertise, collaboration, and problem-solving involved in delivering projects that serve local communities.

Students also participated in a question-and-answer session, where they engaged directly with TPD professionals to learn more about career paths, educational opportunities, and day-to-day responsibilities across the industry.

The Shadow Day reflects TPD’s ongoing commitment to workforce development and community engagement by helping students gain valuable exposure to the wide range of opportunities available within civil engineering and infrastructure consulting.
