On April 9, members of TPD’s Structures Department came together for a successful day of learning, collaboration, and team building, with 28 team members participating in an engaging all-day meeting designed to strengthen technical knowledge and team connections.

The agenda featured a variety of presentations covering key industry and departmental topics, including NBIS inspection procedures, safety, county bridge management, Open Bridge Modeler, lessons learned, team updates, and business development insights. The sessions provided valuable opportunities for professional development while encouraging knowledge sharing across the department.

Just as important as the presentations was the opportunity for team members to connect in person. With attendees representing multiple office locations, the event allowed colleagues who do not regularly work together face-to-face to build relationships, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration across the group.

The day also included a special celebration recognizing Doug Stumpp’s retirement and his many contributions to TPD over the years. Team members gathered to honor Doug’s career and enjoy a retirement cake that was enthusiastically appreciated by all.

The evening concluded with a TopGolf outing, where team members enjoyed a fun and relaxed setting to continue conversations, foster camaraderie, and build stronger connections beyond the workplace.
