On January 30, members of TPD’s Transportation Planning teams gathered in Easton, Pennsylvania, for a day dedicated to professional development, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
The event brought together planning professionals from across the firm to exchange ideas, strengthen technical expertise, and explore emerging trends shaping the transportation industry. For many attendees, it also provided a valuable opportunity to connect in person with colleagues they regularly collaborate with across TPD’s expanding geographic footprint.
The program featured presentations and interactive discussions led by both industry partners and TPD subject matter experts. Diane Hickey and Rudy Randazzo of Riker Danzig delivered insights on the role of technical data in public meetings and testimony, highlighting best practices for communicating complex transportation issues to diverse audiences.

TPD team members also facilitated sessions focused on innovation, quality management, and emerging technologies. Discussions explored the firm’s companywide quality assurance and quality control initiatives, as well as the evolving role of artificial intelligence in transportation planning and traffic engineering applications.
The event fostered meaningful collaboration and generated thoughtful conversations around industry best practices, continuous improvement, and opportunities to enhance project delivery for clients and communities.
At TPD, investing in professional growth and knowledge sharing remains a key part of our commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality transportation solutions. By bringing professionals together to learn from one another and explore new ideas, we continue to strengthen our teams and position ourselves to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
