TPD employees, families, and friends enjoyed not one but two Quality of Life (QoL) outings this July, each offering its own memorable mix of community, baseball, and summer unpredictability.

The first group joined together on Friday, July 10th, when 44 TPDers and guests headed to PNC Park for the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers matchup. While the game was ultimately postponed after a two‑hour rain delay, the group made the most of the evening. Fireworks lit up the sky early at 8:30 PM, adding a bright and unexpected finale to the night. A handful of attendees even returned the next day to watch the Pirates defeat the Brewers during the makeup game. Rainy or not, the trip delivered plenty of fun and a chance for our Pittsburgh‑area team members to connect.

Just over a week later, on Saturday, July 18th, TPD’s more eastern crew gathered for a second trip – this time at Citizens Bank Park for the Phillies vs. Mets game. The day kicked off with a 200+ person catered tailgate featuring a full spread of ballpark favorites, a bar trailer to keep everyone cool, and games and activities that kept both kids and adults moving. Cornhole, Giant Jenga, Connect 4, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and more brought energy to every corner of the lot.

When it was time to head inside, attendees carried that same excitement into the stadium. With the game starting an hour earlier than planned due to weather, the afternoon moved quickly, but the group didn’t miss a beat. A brief mid‑game rain delay couldn’t dampen the mood, and a 6–1 Phillies win (celebrated by most of us) capped off a day filled with great food, great company, and time well spent together outside the office.

Both QoL trips delivered exactly what we value most: fun, connection, and a reminder of the strong community behind TPD. We’re already looking forward to what next year brings.
