In January of 2020, what feels like seconds before COVID-19 changed our collective worlds forever, TPD announced its strategic growth initiative – expanding our New Jersey presence by opening two new office locations in Monmouth and Mercer Counties. This came with several key personnel hires, such as former Monmouth County Chief Bridge Engineer and county government “household name”, Greg Bitsko, PE, PP, our New Jersey Regional Structures Leader, and his right (and left) hand, Janella Guillermo, PE, Senior Project Manager.
The team expanded again in early 2021 with the addition of Shana Battaglini, New Jersey Regional Construction Manager, to spearhead the expansion of our Construction Management/Construction Inspection (CM/CI) operations in New Jersey. Shana brought with her a wealth of experience working on large projects for New Jersey’s Department of Transportation (DOT) and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA).
TPD’s team brings nearly a century of experience in New Jersey operations and, along with their team of skilled engineers, inspectors and operations support staff, has worked to reflect TPD’s well-established reputation in New Jersey.
Fast forward to today, TPD has successfully delivered, or is in the process of delivering, over sixty (60) New Jersey bridge, traffic, roadway and CM/CI agreements since then, working side-by-side with the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC), NJDOT, ten (10) New Jersey counties’ engineering departments, several municipalities, as well as higher education institutions.

Adding another layer of success, in 2022 TPD acquired Atlantic Traffic & Design Engineering (ATDE), a transportation engineering firm operating out of Warren, NJ (HQ) and Long Island, NY. ATDE is now fully integrated into TPD, thus extending the firm’s geographical market area. On the heels of this boom, we are now able to offer the full gamut of TPD’s professional services throughout the state of New Jersey. Our list of services includes:
