TPD was contracted by PECO Energy/Excelon to provide on-call ADA curb ramp
design. TPD is responsible for the design of 412 curb ramps at approximately 175
intersections (and counting) throughout the City of Philadelphia.
TPD designed the ramps and prepared the plans in accordance with standards set
by both PennDOT and the City of Philadelphia. TPD worked closely with both
agencies throughout the design process.

Project Highlights:
- Design of ADA compliant (or technically infeasible) curb ramps
- Preparation of CS-4401 (design and as-built) curb ramp inspection forms
- Preparation of Technically Infeasible Forms (TIFs) for each non-compliant ramp
- Preparation and submission of ADA Plans in accordance with PennDOT District
6 0 and City of Philadelphia standards - Preparation of Granite Curb Plans for quadrants with granite curb
- Coordination with contractor during construction
- Coordination with property owners regarding approval for work affecting their
properties - Preparation of revised plans due to field changes
